NEW YORK, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian presented world leaders with a book containing, according to Iran, details and photographs of the destruction and the deaths of schoolchildren and civilians during the recent war.
On September 23, Pezeshkian presented the book, titled “In the Name of HELP,” to Swiss President Guy Parmelin during a meeting in New York. According to Iranian sources, the book includes the Names and photographs of Iranian civilians killed during the recent war.
Iranian state media reported that Pezeshkian also presented the book during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The book contains photographic documentation of attacks on Iran’s infrastructure and civilian facilities, as well as people killed in the war. According to Iranian sources, the title “In the Name of HELP” is a sarcastic reference to previous claims by US President Donald Trump regarding assistance to Iran.
During his meeting with the Swiss president, Pezeshkian said Iran would resist policies based on pressure, threats and force.
He said conflicts could only be resolved through negotiations, diplomacy and adherence to international responsibilities.
Referring to recent US and Israeli military operations, the Iranian president said they had targeted Iran’s basic infrastructure and civilian facilities, adding that all parties should respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
Swiss President Guy Parmelin referred to the longstanding relations between Iran and Switzerland and stressed the importance of diplomatic contacts and negotiations in addressing regional crises.
He said Switzerland was ready to use its diplomatic capabilities to reduce tensions and support negotiations. In his address to the United Nations General Assembly, President Pezeshkian also rejected US President Donald Trump’s position linking Iran with terrorism, saying that the Iranian people themselves had been victims of terrorism.
He also mentioned the deaths of civilians, including children, in attacks on Iran.
