Pakistan has executed its primary ambassadorial-level designation to Armenia succeeding the institution of diplomatic linkages in 2025, with Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan delivering his credentials to the Armenian chief executive.
Ambassador Khan delivered his Letters of Credence to President Vahagn Khachaturyan during a ritual conducted at the executive palace in Yerevan, the Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expressed on Friday.
Ambassador Khan simultaneously functions as Pakistan’s emissary to the UAE and as non-resident Ambassador to Armenia.
Pakistan and Armenia officially endorsed a collective communication instituting diplomatic linkages in August preceding year.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, on August 31 preceding year, declared the endorsement of the Joint Communication instituting bilateral diplomatic linkages.
At the hour, DPM Dar expressed that he and his Armenian partner Ararat Mirzoyan “reasserted our dedication to the principles and objectives of the UN Charter, and concurred to operate collectively to further fortify bilateral alliance in diverse domains, encompassing economy, education, culture, and tourism.”
Concurrently, the Armenian chief executive congratulated Ambassador Khan regarding his designation, and transmitted his premier desires for a prosperous incumbency and the productive execution of his diplomatic accountabilities.
President Khachaturyan expressed his preparedness to back initiatives to further evolve Armenia-Pakistan linkages and to broaden alliance in domains of shared focus.
Ambassador Khan transmitted the salutations and premier desires of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to President Khachaturyan and reasserted Pakistan’s dedication to fortifying bilateral linkages with Armenia.
The two branches highlighted the meaningful capacity for broadening bilateral involvement, uniquely in commerce and funding, education, culture, public-to-public linkages, and alternate domains of economic alliance.
Earlier, Ambassador Khan communicated with the Armenian foreign minister, who congratulated him regarding his designation and wished him prosperity in the execution of his diplomatic accountabilities.
The two branches evaluated the bilateral agenda, analyzed pathways for broadening alliance, and bartered perspectives on regional and international developments.
Ambassador Khan likewise met Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan and delivered a duplicate of his Letters of Credence.
The deputy minister observed that the institution of diplomatic linkages between the two states symbolized an essential policy determination through the leadership of the two nations.
The two branches analyzed prospects for further fortifying alliance in bilateral and multilateral forums.
Ambassador Khan’s involvements in Yerevan reasserted the dedication of Pakistan and Armenia to progressing bilateral linkages and extended an avenue to distinguish fresh pathways for alliance across a broad array of mutually profitable domains.
