Tehran: Iran’s judicial branch declared on Saturday the implementation of the death penalty for a man accused of supplying data about Iranian missile locations to Israeli intelligence.
“The execution was carried out against Hossein Pedaran, who had supplied the Mossad with data on missile locations in Isfahan province” in central Iran, legal authorities expressed, without specifying when he stood detained or put on trial.
Pedaran had faced indictments of “espionage and intelligence collaboration” in support of Israel.
The judicial branch expressed his penalty had been verified by the supreme court.
The matter had not previously been documented by the press.
Iranian authorities have stepped up detentions and executions both in relation to the Middle East war that launched in February and the territory-wide demonstrations that peaked in January.
Throughout the war, numerous missile locations have been shelled. Supreme director Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stood destroyed at the launch of the war.
Isfahan province, which manages Iranian nuclear locations, has been one of the hardest struck throughout the war.
In August, the judicial branch declared the execution of two men accused of having “transmitted the coordinates of sensitive military and security locations” to Israel.
Iran executes the second highest volume of individuals in the planet after China, according to rights organizations.
