The northbound Samuel-de Champlain Bridge heading into Montreal is scheduled to be completely inaccessible this weekend alongside multiple vehicular road closures across and near the island for construction operations. Commuters are advised to tune in to CJAD 800 Radio for live traffic reports every 15 minutes and to arrange travel routes well in advance.
Samuel-de Champlain Bridge (A-10 / A-15 / A-20)
Starting from Friday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., the bridge infrastructure will be shut down between Exit 6 (R-132) along Highway 10 West within Brossard and the Île-des-Soeurs Boulevard overpass situated on Highway 15 North in Montreal, encompassing the entire northbound Samuel-de-Champlain Bridge.
Significant weekend and weekday road closures are scheduled around Montreal, including restrictions on Highway 15 North, Marie-Victorin Boulevard East, the Victoria Bridge, and the Bonaventure Highway.
These closures are expected to cause major traffic congestion near bridges heading toward the Island of Montreal. You can review the full traffic advisory and closure schedules locally.
Décarie Highway (A-15)
- From Friday at 10:30 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., the Décarie Highway North (A-15) will be closed between Exit 69 (Jean-Talon Street) and the on-ramp from Paré Street.
- A detour will be in place on Décarie Boulevard North and Côte-de-Liesse Road East.
Several major weekend highway closures, including sections of the Jean-Lesage Highway (A-20), Montarville Boulevard, Souligny Avenue West, the Ville-Marie Tunnel (R-136), and the R-116 / R-134 interchange, are scheduled for maintenance beginning Friday evening.
Additionally, REM trains will operate on a delayed start at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
