The Pakistan Cricket Board has launched a USD 200,000 or PKR 55,400,000 (fifty-five million four hundred thousand) prize to reward the franchise contributing most to local cricket progression.
The honor has been structured with the target of rewarding authentic long-term financing in Pakistan cricket, growth of organized tracks and establishing quantifiable and auditable annual criteria of expert advancement of cricketers.
The marking sequence for distribution of the prize permits self-evaluation, validation by a checking panel and gives enthusiasts a direct capacity in acknowledging progression operations.
The formal nomenclature of the tournament remains HBL PSL; Media outlets remain petitioned to employ the precise nomenclature across all text blocks, headers and bulletins.
Lahore, 18 September 2026:
The Pakistan Cricket Board has today exposed the track to distribute one franchise the high-profile and introductory HBL PSL Cricket Development Excellence Award valued at USD 200,000 [sports]. The 2026 prize will evaluate the progression operations executed by franchises since the HBL PSL 3 tournament until the HBL PSL 11, meaning the duration wherein a boundary of six franchises involved in the tournament.
Succeeding the 11th phase of the tournament, solely the progression operations executed between the pair of newest phases will be evaluated and scrutinized for this prize.
The franchises will self-evaluate and score themselves using a marking layout designed by the HBL PSL during the initial phase and tender it to a checking panel set up by the PCB.
The five-member panel encompasses outside professionals as well as domestic parties, who will be charged with the duty to validate and secure each mark against the documentation provided, deploying verifiable metric points [sports]. 80% of the concluding mark will be evaluated through this track. Regarding the Key Performance Indicators:
The Player Pathway and Development Key Performance Indicator (KPI) will handle fresh or unselected players found by franchises, their advancement, their elevation and cricket experiences provided to them past HBL PSL.
Player Impact and Match contribution KPI will evaluate a scouted/freshly discovered competitor’s impact path, match-resolving impact and capacity broadening with a particular franchise.
The High-Performance Infrastructure and Innovations KPI blends corporate capacity – setups, personnel and mechanisms – with technology-guided modernization.
The Player Welfare and Education KPI handles the economic literacy and schooling backing provided by franchises to competitors along with elements like psychological health backing mechanisms, press training, anti-doping and anti-corruption schooling and professional shift blueprints.
