Past Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has started a new job at Oxford University in England.
The university declared on Friday that Trudeau has entered its Blavatnik School of Government as a Distinguished Fellow and a member of the World Leaders Circle.
According to Oxford University, the World Leaders Circle functions as an international network made up of past chiefs of government. Their global knowledge and deep understanding help shape the Blavatnik School’s efforts to improve the way governments work all across the globe.
Trudeau spent 10 years serving as Canada’s prime minister before stepping down from the job in the year 2025.
“In the decade that I was Prime Minister, the world went through profound change both geopolitically and technologically, which fundamentally reshaped our world,” Trudeau expressed in a formal comment put out by Oxford University.
“From an evolving global order to the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the challenges faced by governments across the globe demand thoughtful leadership, international cooperation, and a renewed commitment to public trust in our democratic institutions,” he stated.
“I look forward to contributing my experience, exchanging perspectives with fellow leaders, and engaging with the next generation of government and policy leaders as we consider how governments can respond to change and build a more hopeful, inclusive and prosperous future for everyone.”
Other members who belong to the World Leaders Circle include the past prime minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, and the past prime minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak.
The university explains that a World Leaders Fellow will act as a mentor and talk with students and past graduates, bring together other global leaders, and look into brand-new, creative paths for managing a government.
Oxford University stands as the oldest university across the English-speaking world.
Back in September, Trudeau started up a media production business alongside his past chief of staff, Katie Telford, which they named “Hope & Hard Work.”
The business stated that it will build both written-script stories and real-life reality shows.
