Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh Abdelouahab Saidani paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaium Kobir on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ambassador congratulated him on assuming the office of the state minister for foreign affairs and both sides discussed views on strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Algeria, said a press release.
The state minister reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and growing cooperation between Bangladesh and Algeria. He requested the ambassador to enhance collaboration in the field of energy to ensure long term energy security of Bangladesh.
Both sides also discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation in the area of trade, investment, pharmaceutical, agriculture, shipbuilding, and people to people contact. The state minister emphasised the importance of collaboration in the field of fertiliser to ensure food security of Bangladesh.
The state minister underscored the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts and stressed the need for high-level visits to further deepen the partnership between the two brotherly countries.

The envoy complimented him on taking the desk of the state minister for foreign affairs and both flanks reviewed thoughts on reinforcing two-sided links between Bangladesh and Algeria, expressed a press circular.
The state minister reasserted the enduring connection and expanding teamwork between Bangladesh and Algeria. He petitioned the envoy to increase teamwork in the sector of power to guarantee long term power protection of Bangladesh.
Both flanks likewise reviewed routes to reinforce teamwork in the sector of commerce, financing, medicine, farming, shipbuilding, and human to human contact. The state minister highlighted the weight of teamwork in the sector of soil-nutrients to guarantee meal protection of Bangladesh.
The state minister highlighted the weight of expanding human-to-human contacts and stressed the necessity for top-level trips to further deepen the alliance between the pair of fraternal nations.
