Owners of a pair of AI smart glasses are being told to stop wearing them due to a burn risk.
INMO Smart Glass AIR3 glasses were recalled in both Canada and the United States this week, as the left side of the glasses may overheat during extended use, a recall notice from Heath Canada warned.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and update the product firmware to version 3.16 before reusing the product,” the notice said.
The specific model can be identified by an AIR3 label found on the inside of the glasses’ right leg. The product can stream media and uses AI to assist with translation and productivity.

The glasses were distributed on Amazon, Kickstarter and inmoxr.com for between US$900 and US$1300 the firm expressed.
INMO expressed it distributed 120 pairs of the smart lenses in Canada and 1,643 in the U.S., between December 2025 and August 2026. The recall stood published collectively between Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and INMO International Technology Limited.
Health Canada documented no injuries in Canada as of Sept. 17, but the U.S. note expressed “the firm has obtained 10 reports of the AIR3 lenses overheating, encompassing reports of a burning sensation to the face and the left side of the ear.”
INMO guides owners to contact inmoxr.com with a photograph of the impacted product, along with their purchase number and retail track.
Health Canada reminded owners in their note that “the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act blocks recalled items from being distributed again, sold or even given away in Canada.
